Lindsay Brennan
Owner/Operator
Lindsay is the owner and operator of Silver Star Stays, proudly running this small, locally‑owned business from her home just minutes from Silver Star Mountain. She purchased Silver Star Stays from the previous owners, Diana and Peter, in the fall of 2018 — and she hasn’t looked back. Silver Star Mountain is truly the best place to raise a family, work and play.
Lindsay, her husband James, and their daughter Maya embrace every season on the mountain. In the summer, Lindsay can be found exploring the beautiful trails. In the winter, the whole family spends their days skiing the slopes or enjoying time in the village. Their two dogs are never far behind.
Silver Star Stays is a genuine family operation. James manages mountain operations and maintenance for the properties alongside her dad Brent, ensuring everything runs smoothly. And Maya — the real boss — loves popping into houses, playing in the snow, and helping Lindsay wherever she can.
Teresa Hoivik
Administrative and Sales Assistant
Teresa moved to Coldstream with her family four years ago because they all wanted to be closer to a ski hill and Silver Star did not disappoint!! Silver Star is like a second home to Teresa and her family in the winter and in the summer!! Her children are both involved with the Silver Star Freestyle Club, so in the winter, she is either found downhill skiing or enjoying the many nordic trails by snowshoe or cross country skiing. In the summer, she can be found ripping down the mountain on her mountain bike with her family or enjoying the multiple cross country trails by bike or foot. Teresa just loves being outdoors and Silver Star has so much to offer.
The best part about joining this team is that I get to share the love of Silver Star with all the new and returning guests, and also working with an amazing group of people who also love it!
Tierney Barker
Reservation Sales Agent
Tierney grew up in Vernon and has called it home for over 20 years. Her family moved here to live the “Okanagan Dream” and be close to the ski hill and lakes.
Tierney grew up snowboarding at Silver Star, and still enjoys visiting the mountain in both the Summer and Winter for snowboarding, snowshoeing, and most recently, snowmobiling. She has always enjoyed the outdoors whether it be paddle boarding on the lakes during the summer, hiking in the Okanagan, or shredding the mountains on her snowmobile or snowboard.
Tierney has been a teacher for the last six years in Vernon, and recently made the career switch to joining the incredible team at Silver Star Stays. She loves being able to share her local experience with others, work with an amazing team, and assist new and returning guests who want to experience Silver Star and the great community surrounding the mountain.
Marla Ronnquist
Reservation Sales Agent
Marla grew up in Vernon before spending nearly 20 years living in Kamloops, were she developed a love for skiing, snowshoeing and spending as much time outdoors as possible. When she moved back to Vernon seven years ago, Silver Star quickly became one of her favorite places, and she has been skiing there ever since.
For Marla the mountain isn’t just a winter destination. In the summer, you’ll find her hiking the trails and soaking up everything the mountain has to offer. Whether she is skiing, hiking, running or finding some other way to move her body, sitting still has never really been her thing.
Working with the team at Silver Star Stays fills Marla’s bucket. She gets to work along side people who share her love of the outdoors, movement and the mountain as well as helping guests experience what makes Silver Star so special in every season!
Tara Kerr
Tara lives and works out of Toronto, Ontario with her husband, Mark and son, Kieran. (Tara is also Peter and Diana’s daughter making this a true family business) She is Silver Star Stays incredible accounting team, resident excel sheet and form expert. Tara is an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Not a fan of winter, Tara loves hiking Silver Star Mountain in the summer and enjoying the fresh air.
