Check in 4:00 – check out 10:00. All our properties have keyless entries and you will be provided with driving instructions, door access codes, etc. at the time of final payment – one month prior to arrival.

Deposit & Cancellation Policy

To confirm your booking a non-refundable deposit is required.

The non-refundable deposit amount and date for the remaining balance due prior to your arrival is indicated on the quote based on the property you have chosen and which website you’ve booked on.

Once paid, both the deposit and final balance are non-refundable. We HIGHLY recommend cancellation insurance. We are fully licensed to provide cancellation insurance to our worldwide guests. If you are under 65 we recommend World Nomad Insurance which you can purchase by clicking the link on our website www.silverstarstays.com. World Nomad offers VERY affordable insurance coverage and any nationality can purchase it.

If you are a Canadian resident over 65 you may purchase Manulife Insurance on our website. You may also purchase cancellation insurance from your local insurance provider. Please note, as mentioned the deposit and final balance are non-refundable for any reason, which includes, but is not limited to, events such as weather, mountain closures, road conditions, missed flights, delayed flights, illness, accidents, etc.

Damage Deposit

In lieu of a damage deposit we require a valid credit card to be kept on file until after departure in the unlikely event that we need to charge you for damage or excessive cleaning

Occupancy

The property is limited to the maximum occupancy stated on the property and that you have confirmed at the time of booking. Due to COVID-19, provincial and regional restrictions may apply to your reservation and number of occupants allowed. 

In BC, there could be up to a $2,000 fine for not adhering to current provincial and regional restrictions by local bylaw or RCMP. These restrictions are subject to change. 

If you have any questions about these restrictions or regulations, please ask. 

Just a reminder: NO Parties or Events – this includes bachelor and bachelorette parties.

Failure to adhere to this house rule will result in eviction from the property with no refund and may result in extra charges.

Smoking

All properties are strictly non-smoking or vaping inside. Failure to adhere to this policy will result in a $500 fumigation charge. Please review your properties policy as to whether you can smoke outside the property or not on the property at all. This will be in the check-in information.

Quiet Time

Please respect your neighbours. Quiet time is before 7:00 a.m. and after 10:00 p.m. With is being an active ski resort most people go to bed early and get up early to get first tracks. Most of us are used to living in single family homes, so do not normally need to consider this. Thanks for respecting the peace and comfort of your fellow neighbours.

Pets

Some of our properties are pet friendly and this is identified in the highlights of each property. An additional daily fee of $30 plus 13% taxes per pet/per day is charged.

Silver Star is very pet friendly; please ensure you pick up after your pet and have him/her on a leash. Dogs can go off leash on all the snow shoe trails (which you often don’t need snowshoes for).

Please note if there is pet hair found on the couches, beds, or excessively through the property you will be charged an additional cleaning fee, up to and including having the carpets/couches steam cleaned if necessary.

If pets are brought in to non-pet friendly units a minimum charge of $500 for fumigation will be charged.

Excessive Cleaning

Please treat this vacation property as you would your own, by leaving it in good condition.

As the occupants you are responsible for all damage or disappearance of items during your stay. Any damage will be charged to your credit card, which you have provided in lieu of a damage deposit. If the property you’ve rented is left in an excessively dirty condition you will be billed $35.00 plus taxes per hour of additional cleaning (over the normal time spent for a clean).
