Silver Star Stays – Summer Helpful Information
Downhill Mountain Biking:
The summer experience keeps growing and gaining in popularity each year. Best known for the fantastic downhill mountain biking that you access using Comet Chair or the Gondola you can access over 69 km’s of trails.
Cross Country Biking:
Silver Star features an extensive cross country trail system. This is suitable for all ages and ability levels; a fantastic family outing. The total cross country trails exceed 70+ km’s of trails including the Beowulf trail!
Hiking and Trail Running:
Silver Star has 16 km’s of forest and mountain trails offer panoramic views of the beautiful Okanagan Valley and Monashee Mountains, with plenty of opportunities to spot wildlife and wildflowers along the way.
Silver Star Gondola:
Take a ride up the mountain and get some amazing panoramic views! Take a ride up and walk down (or do both). The Gondola is wheelchair accessible and pet friendly! Our family favourite is the Gnome Roam at the top of the Gondola.
Gnome Roam:
An activity for the entire family! A self-guided tour will take you on a tour to find the magical SilverStar Gnomes. Make sure you head to the ticket office first and pick up a map! There are two Gnome Roams; one that takes you from the village to Brewer’s Pond and another on the top of the mountain.
Other summer activities around Silver Star and Vernon:
Kalamalka Provincial Park – this incredible lake has many areas to enjoy. Short or long hikes or just relax on the beach!
Okanagan Lake and Beaches in Vernon – head on down to Paddlewheel park with the kids. The perfect spot on a sunny afternoon.
Davison Orchards – perfect for kids! Check out the goats, amazing play area, take a train ride through the orchard.
Cambium Cider – Refreshing drinks, pizza and a locally curated menu where you can spend time with friends and family in the orchard.
Vernon Farmers Market – every Monday and Thursday at Kal Tire Place – pick up local fruit, veggies and more!
Wineries and Tours – There are SO many wineries within an hour of Silver Star Mountain. Ask us for our favourites!
