Join for a weekend full of fun, friendly competition, and fast downhill skiing! The legendary Over the Hill race returns for its 42nd year. Grab your skis, speed suits, and the need for speed. Whether you’re flying solo or teaming up with longtime friends, this is your shot to be crowned the fastest down the mountain. Teams will compete in categories based on combined age, ranging from 100 to 250+. Whether you’re racing for glory, or you’re there for the Apres-ski, you won’t want to miss this unforgettable weekend!
Team members can be as young as 11 years of age or as seasoned as they come; there are no gender restrictions on teams. No need to race on a team either, if you wish to race on your own – no problem; individuals can race as well! Come to Silver Star this winter to experience the longest standing recreational downhill race in Canada!
Please note: If carrying longs skis on the chair lift please ensure they are Double Strapped. If carrying multiple skis please take the Gondola.
Looking to sharpen your race skills?
OTHDH Speed Camps will be running from Tuesday, February 2nd to Friday, February 5th. Speed Camps are held during the week leading up to the event, with qualifying races on Saturday and finals on Sunday. Please register for Speed Camps separately through our SnowSports team. All racers are eligible for 50% off day tickets for both Speed Camp and race days.
